Installation

Is the Turbosmart Kompact EM Dual Port CARB legal?
No. This product does not hold a CARB EO number and is not legal for sale or use on pollution-controlled vehicles in California or other CARB-enforced states. It is intended for off-road and competition use only in those jurisdictions.

Will this BOV throw a check engine light (CEL)?
No. Because the Kompact EM uses the factory ECU connection and operates via the OEM electronic signal, it fully integrates with the factory engine management system and will not trigger a CEL on stock or lightly modified applications.

What is the difference between the Dual Port and Plumb Back versions?
The Dual Port (TS-0223-1082) vents approximately 50% to atmosphere and 50% back into the intake, producing the signature aggressive BOV sound under boost release. The Plumb Back (TS-0223-1282) recirculates 100% of vented pressure back into the intake for OEM-like silent operation. Both deliver the same performance benefits.
